Introduction to UFOlogy Basics

The purpose of this article is simply as a guide for those just getting into UFOlogy. It is not meant to provide any answers. If anyone tells you that they have the answers, they are lying to you. This is simply an overview of the most common words, most infamous incidents, individuals, locations, documents, programs, theories, history and aspects of the UFO and ET phenomena.  Consider this article as a way to familiarize yourself with the basic terminology, concepts, theories and history of UFO’s and extraterrestrials. Think of it as a crash course in the very basics which can then be used as a foundation to look deeper into specifics whether it be reported events, theories or specific individuals. This is designed to be an overall review and therefore we won’t get too deep into any specific area. WHERE IT ALL STARTED Although an argument can be made for UFO’s […]

Transcendental Environment (TE)

Transcendental Environment is a term that Jari and I came up with recently to describe something that we have both experienced on multiple occasions. What is it exactly? We’re not sure. What causes it? We have no idea. Yet. We expect this article to eventually grow as we study, research and learn more about what it may consist of and what the cause may be. At this point most of what we have is pure speculation. However, you have to start somewhere. It’s difficult to know where to start when you don’t understand what it is you’re even dealing with. Is this something that anyone can feel or sense? I’ve spoken to several people about it and I don’t believe it’s something that only certain types of  individuals can detect. However, it does require you to be dialed in and aware of your surroundings. For me, the feeling is so […]

The Elusive Meaning of Truth

Søren Kierkegaard, an 18th century Danish philosopher and theologian once said, “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” Recently I received an email from a source that shall remain unnamed, who wanted to warn me regarding my skeptical beliefs and sources in my writings (more specifically from debunkers), in which I threw caution to the wind when writing or publishing material from a pseudoskeptical source. This person went on to warn me (rather ambiguously) that I needed to clarify my thoughts on where I stood before publishing articles that seemed ‘one-sided,’ in which reference was made to a short article that I published in The Journal of Anomalous Sciences long ago, telling readers about the mindset of “True believers” and “debunkers” without understanding the difference between a “pseudoskeptic” and a” true skeptic.” I […]

Is Infrared Light a Problem?

For nearly 3 years now I’ve believed that the standard lighting used by most paranormal researchers is actually preventing individuals from capturing spirits on video. Being able to see into the infrared is beneficial, however the current implementation seems to be somewhat of a problem. I also do not believe this is the primary range of the light spectrum where spirits most often reside. While many researchers may resist implementing the following methods based on the investment they have already made in infrared lighting and equipment, if you are just getting started or looking to upgrade your equipment, you may find the information below beneficial. Before getting into specifics as to why I believe the most often used equipment may actually be detrimental to capturing spirits, let’s take a look at the range on the light spectrum that I personally feel may be the most beneficial when attempting to record […]

The Oregon Sri Yantra

Oddly enough, although crop circles are far more prevalent in the UK than in the United States, few people have ever heard of the Oregon Sri Yantra despite it being one of the most fascinating on record. On August 10th of 1990, the Idaho Air National Guard noticed the formation which seems to have simply appeared overnight. The shear size of the anomaly only adds to this mystery. The formation, found on a dry lake bed near the Oregon/Idaho border, consisted of 13.3 miles of lines, was scored into the hardpan at a depth of 3 inches and were 10 inches wide. Almost immediately individuals started taking credit for the formation. The problem was, the evidence didn’t coincide with their claims and one of the individuals claiming responsibility had ulterior motives for doing so. The first group of individuals claiming responsibility ran into a few problems with their story. For […]

Lack of Integrity

I am the last person to waste any time on individuals with misplaced intent when it comes to the paranormal. However, there is a line that once crossed goes beyond lack of common sense and directly into actual deception, lack of integrity and theft. Not only stealing someone else’s intellectual property, but doing so by means of a series of events that the original owner of the intellectual property has little control over. Normally I would simply dismiss someone being deceptive but what I learned was that two individuals were taking credit for a subject I initially discovered after taking measures to assure I would have no knowledge of this. At that point you cross the line. Probably the saddest part is that none of this surprises me in any way. Being able to read people and their intent tends to reduce the shock of their actions later. The Story: […]

I’m Not Here to Make Friends

Ask most people and they will swear honesty is very important to them. What they fail to tell you is that they mean honesty to a degree. Be totally blunt and completely honest and you will soon discover that honesty has a different definition to many people. It’s not honesty they want but someone that will agree with them and pat them on the back. There’s a difference between being rude and being completely honest. I myself don’t play games and don’t have time to gently tap dance around someone. If they ask a question or state their opinion, I’m going to be blunt in my answer or in regards to my own opinion. This isn’t being rude, it’s getting straight to the point. I don’t curse or call them names (although it’s amazing how many of them will jump straight to throwing f-bombs the moment you disagree with them). […]

New Mexico – A Conspiracy Theorists Dream

For those that believe in the hard to believe, New Mexico is the epicenter for all that is considered anomalous as well as the heart of many cover-ups, black budget programs and conspiracies. For anyone with even a passing interest in the paranormal, UFO’s or clandestine government programs, many of the places you’ve undoubtedly heard and read about reside within its borders. With many strange locations, government installations and things that just don’t quite add up, New Mexico is geographically located in the perfect place in regards to unusual happenings and overt cover-ups. Tucked away in the SE section of the Four Corners region, it’s just out-of-the-way enough (and sparsely populated enough) to fly under the radar. Ranked 36th in population size with just over 2 million people, and nicknamed the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico is the perfect storm. The majority of the population resides in Albuquerque and Santa […]

It’s Not That I’m Ignoring You

I left Portland for Illinois on April 17th of 2012. I arrived at my parents house in a small town in order to help them move and tried to make the best of being there. At the time I left Portland, the daily levels of paranormal activity around me were bordering on ridiculous. A day without something compelling taking place was the exception. I was seeing entities, hearing entities, I was being touched, things were being moved, people I know were being visited, it was literally getting to a point where it was almost silly. Just prior to leaving Portland, I had been spending a lot of time alone in the basement of Kenton Station. Like a lot of time. I spent more time down there at night communicating with spirits than I did interacting with the living during the day. So it makes sense that everywhere I went was […]

The Camera Design

There are two basic body types of camera construction : the all-inclusive box design created by the introduction in 1900 of the first Brownie camera from Kodak, followed by the SLR (single lens reflex) design by Nikon in 1948 with a design for looking specifically through the lens, which introduced new technology for better focusing and aperture control in photography. Then, in 1991, Leaf introduced the world’s first digital camera call the “Brick.” Leaf was a small company later purchased by Kodak , and once again, it was a “box” design, although thinner, sleeker, and easier to carry. The technology of digital wizardry includes a different methodology for recording an image in what is actually a series of dots (called pixels), not much different from the methodology in which photographs are printed in newspapers, or a television displays an image on a cathode ray tube (CRT). Now you may ask […]
